Kakashi2020
I invested just a modest sum in Bitcoin but some friends of mine invested half of their life savings. Early this year they were ecstatic and full of hope that their investment would double or triple in no time. But after 7 months of waiting most of my friends are getting nervous and some are even regretting that they have invested in it. Do you have any regrets investing in Bitcoin? Onizuka
No. The opportunities are always there especially in a volatile market like cryptocurrency trading. If one was open to shorting, then this 2018 market would have been very profitable for them. Imagine all the plunges that could have been profitable if you placed shorts at the right prices. Well that just happened with the massive selloff last week that made the price of Bitcoin plunged. And now there's bargain hunting going on and most probably we'll see another sell off in a week or two. It's either that or the price would steadily appreciate causing a mild rally. axl2468
Not really. Bitcoin is useful for me as it can act both as a small-time investment and as a cryptocurrency that I can use to buy things. I just don't understand why some people are still hoping the prices would skyrocket significantly though.
Steve5
That's a really scary thing to do. Why would they even do that? A few hundred dollars is okay. But half of their life savings is too much. Now they're surely nervous about how they'll make their money back. I hope they learn from this experience.

You can't really blame them for wanting to get rich just like the early investors. Maybe it's still possible for the price to skyrocket. But it seems unlikely for it be like the first time. That's the beauty of Cryptocurrency investments, it could be a wild card, a game changer, one can earn a lot or even get rich with just some chump change as investment.

Yeah. That's true. I kind of wish I was part of those who've invested early in bitcoin. It would have been awesome to see our money grow exponentially. I guess we're still hoping for something like that to happen again. Maybe it will. Who knows? 😃

Well I didn't listen to him, he invested a little money in it and bought 5 bitcoins when it was under $20 each, I really don't know what happened next because he migrated to Canada and we haven't talk since then.

Well some people are gamblers and they would risk their life savings on a hunch. Some of my friends are like that. They would say to me that I can't hit the jackpot because I never go all in.

The basic rule of risk taking is you can't earn big if you don't risk a lot. But that's never the best way to earn money. Some might get lucky. But a lot of times people end up becoming broke due to their misguided dreams. 😂

That's sad yet funny. It could mean that your friend became rich overnight. I don't know. I'm not exactly sure how much it was back then. It could be that he just gained a couple of hundred dollars. Anyway, bitcoin really only became high value in the recent years. If only we could go back. 😂

But what's important is that I've seen first hand how people could get rich in Cryptocurrencies.

Such coins are very cheap and affordable. You can't really lose investing in it.
Kakashi2020
I do have one regret and it's not investing years ago when Bitcoin was new. I mean I could have made millions if only I mined some years ago.

That way, you minimize your potential loss.

Now you're aware of how it can change people's lives. But I'm not sure if he became rich. If he'd kept it until around 2017, then he probably did.
