Jasonn
This rise in dark web and crypto payments has made me want to get identity theft protection! Has it you? I mean, it pretty much nails it to the wall, don't you think? Anyway, what might be some arguments to say crypto isn't as involved with the dark web as some think? Kakashi2020
Well I think Bitcoin was made to facilitate illegal transactions in the dark web in the first place. It's unregulated and can be used to launder money even now. So I think yes it's being used illegally. I can't see any valid argument of it not being used for illegal criminal activities. EfficientNinja
It’s hard to prove or say that crypto isn’t involved in illegal and underground transactions. It is because it is very convenient for underground transactions. When people transact using cryptocurrency, they are anonymous. You're quite right in that cryptocurrencies are the best currency to use when moving illegal money from one place to another because it's untraceable and the ownership of funds would remain anonymous. Jasonn
Well, is it not easy to see why governments want to ban crypto? In fact, it's amazing they all haven't. Anyhow, though, many might feel that the dark web's association with crypto shouldn't be a reason for it to banned. I mean, why let bad apples spoil the bunch? I think they want it banned because the weren't the ones who created it. And that adds to the uncertainty of an ulterior motive on its creation. I mean noone even knows who created it right?
