Jasonn
Is Bitcoin taxed and if it's not taxed, then should it be? Are people buying it to avoid taxes? Well, this might seem like a silly question, but I know Bitcoin is outside of banks. NerdIndeed
I know this might be off topic, but if I have let's say gold in an online game such as Runescape which is tradeable for money, do I have to report that as virtual currency capital gains? Peace! Quote Link to comment https://slingbank.com/forums/topic/569-bitcoin-and-taxes/#findComment-3859 Share on other sites
JPK0007
Yes,Bitcoin or any other Cryptocurrency is taxable in most of the countries around the World. In the countries where Bitcoin transactions are considered legal, i think that it is treated like any other asset and you get taxed for all the transactions related to it. If you sale yout Bitcoins then yiu may be liable to pay the capital gains tax according to the tax rules of your country. Alania
I think it shouldn't be! God forbin! Cryptocurrencies and BTC in particular have risen to change the world economy, the corrupt and monitored by governments and banks. If anyone would tax BTC, then it would be doom. I hope no one would have such idea. Quote Link to comment https://slingbank.com/forums/topic/569-bitcoin-and-taxes/#findComment-3917 Share on other sites
axel
Yes bitcoin is now taxed and it seems applicable to some countries. I checked my country and it now seems to charge tax for bitcoin.
