  1. I know this might be off topic, but if I have let's say gold in an online game such as Runescape which is tradeable for money, do I have to report that as virtual currency capital gains? Peace!
  2. Holy crap, this is awesome! I had no idea cryptocurrency could potentially solve so many problems, but it makes sense now.
  3. I believe that for beginners, the better way to start is from investing only TIME. By taking part in different airdrops or bounty programs such as TokenGo etc. What do you guys think?
  4. Every smart man should buy into some cryptos after a considerable drop of 90%, if the coming recession is half of what is projected then I expect hyperinflation very soon. Hedging in cryptos and some gold is necessary.
  5. I think Ethereum. However, regardless of which you choose I highly recommend buying as much as you can now before the prices take off. Ethereum IMO is the future.
  6. Is this still ongoing? Do you mind if I ask how much are the rebates if you pay for utility bills like Meralco, PLDT, and such?
  7. I am crossing my fingers and hoping that Lazada does as it's the e-commerce platform that I use most of the time.
  8. It is nearly impossible to predict, but a state-sponsored digital cryptocurrency does allow foreign governments more autonomy and an alternative means of payment to $USD based transactions.
  9. I heard about that news too, and Alibaba is spearheading the project I believe. If it does materialize, I think the prices of other cryptocurrencies will fall as there's a new player in the league.
  10. A torrent is a file sent via the BitTorrent protocol. It can be just about any file, such as a movie, song, game, or application. When a torrent download is started, the BitTorrent system locates multiple computers with the data and downloads different parts of the file from each machine. Most of the time, it is used for piracy. So be careful in using it.
  11. That's one hefty price tag for two boxes of pizza! I hope it was all excellent and out of this world delicious when they had eaten it.
  12. I would like to know the answer to this question too. The only other cryptocurrency I know at the moment is Ethereum, and I'm sure as more and more people invest in it, it will appreciate.
  13. Amazon accepts Bitcoin as a mode of payment?! I never knew that. If it does, I'm sure it will be spread widely across other platforms since the e-commerce giant is accepting it.
  14. I never knew that it was in some way more like a peer-to-peer model. Is it somehow similar to torrents and stuff?
  15. Positively yes, if I only knew. Heck if I knew that it would significantly increase in value, I might have invested thousands of dollars in it. I envy those who did.
  16. I believe that any form of a transaction has to be taxed, but the thing is that if governments don't have a regulating policy for the cryptocurrency, there's a conflict and disconnect if it should be taxed. As far as I know, Bitcoin transactions are not taxed at the moment.
  17. I have heard of it and knew some people who use it for Bitcoins, but I have no first-hand experience. I think it's good, and there's one here who uses it as a loading business, so I'm sure it's legit.
  18. It all depends on the law of supply and demand. If you see a downward trend, it means that a lot of people are selling instead of buying that's why prices are dropping.
  19. I believe cryptocurrencies exist to address the weaknesses of conventional methods or currencies, which are, of course, backed by governments and central banks. The only thing worrisome about it is there's no governing body for it, so it's not subjected to a lot of things which may result in problems in the future.
  20. Hmm, I see. It looks complicated to me, but as long as it works, I guess it's okay.
  21. As for myself, I guess I'm not way overly optimistic about it at first. A few people think that anyone who invests will automatically double their money. There is no difference between investing in cryptocurrency and playing the lottery, and they're both in some way like gambling at the end of the day. IMHO
  22. Interesting. Care to share what other businesses you can do in coins.ph? And by the way, how can it be loaded with funds?
  23. In the near future, you mean two to three years time? Perhaps, but we'll never know what will be the developments regarding it, and adoption might be possible in as soon as five years. Like I've said, all it takes is a giant e-commerce platform to accept payments of it, and everything will change.
  24. Maybe. Regarding its adoption, there's this risk of cybercrime and terrorism which thrives off of that "anonymity" factor of the internet. But once these security threats are addressed, Bitcoin might be the de facto currency of the internet.
  25. Hmm, yes, of course, there is. On a side note, I don't think it's a coincidence that the Satoshi Nakamoto entity disappeared right after the CIA started sniffing around.
