How important is a Coins Name?

I think it's important. Any name given to something becomes a representation for it. So choosing something, unique, catchy, and memorable elevates the cryptocurrency. Kind of like bitcoin. It's short and simple. It even sounds like the coins you collect in Super Mario. 😂

The name is very important. A coin can break or make it in the market just because of the name. For example, there are a good number of cryptocurrencies, but Bitcoin has beaten them all, simply because of the name. The name acts a brand.

Yeah I think they have that much impact. Bitcoin is very easy to remember. It even slides off nicely when you pronounce it. I guess it is like branding a product. There is a whole new logic behind every products name to ensure that customers will always remember them. It is not just catchy, there is just something more behind picking a name.

Yeah, I agree with everyone else here.

Remember Dogecoin? Even though it didn't really compete with the likes of Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, etc., it's still used by a decent number of people today. The main reason being the name itself is a meme which created some hype in some internet communities (mainly Reddit). It's also fairly stable compared to other cryptocurrencies that I know of.

I wonder why Garlicoin wasn't such a big success compared to Dogecoin though (not liking garlic bread is blasphemy).

Yes. Dogecoin is a really good name. The name itself is catchy and easy to remember. Coin names are the representation of its brand or what is supported by it. It could be about charities, education, earth and many more.

Yes, the name of the Cryptocurrency is very important. The name of any product is very important when you are taking it into the Market for the first time. Eventually the consumers will identify the product through its name. If you have a catchy name for the coin then it will definitely attract the attention of the customers and also create a buzz.If the company is able to match the catchy name with a credible performance then it will eventually create a good reputation for the coin.

As with most things, first impression is everything when it comes to cryptocurrency. And the first thing that most people will take note of is the designation given to said cryptocurrency. A catchy name, or a professional-sounding name could definitely get a person interested enough to look into the coin's performance itself. Having a name that's easy to recall, or has a certain ring to it might keep it in the minds of potential investors.

The coin's overall performance and worth is the line, but the name can be the hook.
